The Perfect Form is a 31 day personal project (during the month of April 2018) with the aim of celebrating the female form without over sexualising or glamourising it – lumps, bumps and stretch marks included! Every day I illustrate a real life woman in all of her glory. The project is being published to my Instagram page, and I will update them here when the month is finished.
There have been some limitations to the project, namely that despite specific call outs and approaching specific women I have not received very many submissions from women of colour, women living with a disability, or trans women. It is still early in the month though and I am continuing to work on sourcing further submissions from diverse women as I want to make sure I am doing my best to represent diverse bodies.
I wrote a blog post recently with a bit more about the inspiration for this project.
